The best bachelor theses

Year 2017

In the national competition of the CzechTourism agency for the best student thesis in tourism shone the graduate of the field of Tourism of the VŠPJ. With his bachelor thesis on the topic "Design of a tourist regional card of Vysočina" won the 2nd place in his category. He presented his thesis on 21 June 2017 at the headquarters of the CzechTourism agency in Prague.

In the national competition of universities that teach the field of Tourism, this placement is a significant success for VŠPJ.

Year 2015

The Bachelor's thesis of a graduate of the field of Tourism of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava entitled "Marketing research and potential development of the Lower Vítkovice area" won the 4th place in its category in the national competition of the CzechTourism agency for the best student qualification thesis 2015.

The aim of the competition, which has been organised by the Institute of Tourism of the CzechTourism agency since 2012, is to promote the use of the innovative potential of university students, to search for stimulating and innovative ideas with potential use in the tourism industry and to support the retention of quality human resources in the field.

The inclusion of the Bachelor's thesis in the national final is another example of the excellent representation of VŠPJ in the national competition of other universities focused on tourism in a short period of time.

Year 2014

The bachelor's thesis of a graduate of the field of Tourism of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava, entitled "Marketing Research and Potential Development of the Lower Vítkovice Area", won the prestigious national competition "For the best student thesis" announced by the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic (AHR) at the end of 2014.

The Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic is a professional non-profit organization whose main goal is to support entrepreneurs in the hotel and restaurant industry. Jihlava Polytechnic College is a member of this association.

The winner repeated the success of the College of Applied Sciences in 2013.

Year 2013

For the eighth time, the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic held a nationwide meeting of nearly 200 hoteliers and restaurant operators at its traditional Annual Conference.

The professional part of the conference featured a number of prominent personalities from the tourism industry from home and abroad. In their presentations, the conference participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and trends in hotel and catering services. During the gala evening, the Association's Annual Awards in 8 categories and a special prize were awarded. This year there were 57 nominations for the annual awards.

BEST STUDENT PAPER FOCUSED ON THE FIELD OF TOURISM:
A graduate of the field of Tourism at the University of Applied Sciences won in her category with her bachelor thesis on "Evaluation of tourism potential in a selected tourism region in the Czech Republic".
