Uzhhorod National University

Exchange stays are an activity within the framework of cooperation between the VŠPJ (Department of Tourism) and Uzhhorod National University (UzhNU - Faculty of Tourism and International Communication). A group of Jihlava students participate in the preparation and conduct of the stay of Ukrainian students in Jihlava every May. In September of the same year, the students from Jihlava go to Uzhhorod, where their Ukrainian colleagues take care of them for a whole week. The programme of the two joint weeks is organized as an international workshop based on the cooperation of the participants in international teams.

How can this activity benefit the students?

• The Transcarpathian Ukraine is a region that is becoming very attractive and popular with Czech tourists. There will be a need for more and more people who know the environment, who have contacts there. It is an excellent opportunity for future tourism workers.
• Participants from the lower semesters can gain valuable material for their bachelor thesis.
