In autumn 2022, the International Slow Tourism Management Project was launched as part of the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures. An international consortium, led by the University of Business in Wroclaw and further comprising universities from Hungary, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic, is jointly preparing the groundwork for a two-year follow-up triple master's degree programme focusing on Slow Tourism Management. The main output of the project will be the preparation of the documents for obtaining the prestigious European accreditation of the new study programme. Currently, VŠPJ does not offer a Master's degree programme in the field of tourism. The Department of Tourism is involved in the project in the role of Associate Partners University. Within the framework of this cooperation, the academic staff of the department can offer guidance of master's theses, teaching of individual subjects, organization of summer/winter schools, excursions, internships, etc. The involvement of KCR in these activities is important in terms of strengthening international cooperation, gaining new experiences and, last but not least, opportunities for the development of study programmes in the future. |
